Join CalNAM for our 14th Annual Holiday Marketplace on Sunday, November 16th 2025, from 10AM – 4PM. This free admission day invites visitors to enjoy one-of-a-kind shopping featuring talented local artisans and unique gifts that celebrate nature, wildlife, and the outdoors. Plus, browse prints and books by select artists on view in the current exhibitions, and enjoy a free family-friendly craft activity from 10AM-12PM.

August 3rd | Free Admission: End-of-Summer Family Day

Join the California Nature Art Museum for a free-admission, end-of-summer Family Day on Sunday, August 3rd 2025, from 10AM – 3PM. This annual event invites visitors to bring the whole family and enjoy free admission to the Museum, and participate in a variety of art-and-nature inspired activities.

Create your own recycled art piece, make friends with a lizard, snake, or tortoise from Mahni’s Reptiles, enjoy a free hand or cheek painting, wonder at live honeybees in an observation hive from Santa Barbara Hives, and shake paws with an adoptable pet from SYV Humane Society!

December 1st | Holiday Marketplace

The Wildling Museum invites the public to attend its third-annual free Summer Family Day on Sunday, August 20, 2023, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Visitors are invited to bring the whole family and enjoy free museum admission during event hours, an owl meet-and-greet, mermaid visit, nature-inspired art activities for all ages, and more.

April 22nd | Earth Day at the Wildling

Mark your calendars! Enjoy free admission all day this Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Wildling.

Enjoy exploring our two new spring exhibitions, Bird’s Eye View: Four Perspectives and Sedgwick Reserve: A Conservation Story, along with drop-in lobby crafts for all to take part in on one of our favorite holidays.

Holiday Family Day

The Wildling Museum of Art and Nature is pleased to announce Holiday Family Day, taking place Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wildling Museum. Watch the Wildling’s holiday float in Solvang’s annual Julefest Parade at 11 a.m., then visit the museum to meet our parade characters and enjoy an afternoon of special holiday activities suitable for the whole family.

Beginning at 1 p.m. families are invited to stop by for a special meet and greet photo opportunity with the Wildling Snow Queen, courtesy of Parties and Paint by Kate, along with a polar bear. At 1:30 p.m. the Snow Queen will lead a winter-themed story time in the second floor Valley Oak gallery. Then, enjoy family crafts from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Barbara Goodall Education Center.
