Artist and conservation advocate Patti Jacquemain founded the Wildling Museum in 1997. With her devoted husband Dave Gledhill and their friends working tirelessly, the Wildling opened its doors in Los Olivos in 2000.  The Wildling moved to its current larger location in Solvang in 2013. Since its founding, the Wildling (now called the California Nature Art Museum) has grown an active community of museum volunteers, museum members, board members, advisory council members and staff. The museum engages over 14,000 people a year through art classes for young and old, community art shows, film screenings, lectures and more!

The California Nature Art Museum (formerly the Wildling Museum) seeks a dynamic and experienced nonprofit professional to be the next leader of the Museum, as our next Executive Director. This full-time, exempt position will remain open until filled.

The mission and vision of this museum is to inspire stewardship of nature through art and education. Our vision is to be recognized as an exceptional and inclusive leader in inspiring our diverse communities and visitors to value nature through the vision of artists.

Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of the California Nature Art Museum (CalNAM), responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and community engagement of the organization. This role requires a visionary leader with a passion for nature, art, and education, who can guide the museum through its next phase of growth and impact.
