school visits & tours

School visits & tours are FREE of charge

CalNAM offers free school tours to students (and up to five adult chaperones) in grades TK-12th.

We can accommodate up to 30 students and 5 adults at one time during school tours. If your group includes more than 30 students, you will be required to book two separate tours. Tours may be booked on the same day, with different one-hour time slots (ex. Group 1 at 10AM, Group 2 at 11AM).

School tours run for approximately 60min.

School tours require an advance reservation of at least two weeks. If you are interested in booking a school field trip tour, please email info@calnatureartmuseum.org with the following information:

What Should We Bring?

We only recommend bringing nametags…and your enthusiasm!

We ask that you leave backpacks, water bottles, and lunches either on the bus or at school. Thank you!

Where should we park?

BUS: Please utilize the Oak Street Lot (located at 1616 Oak Street), which is approximately a 5min walk from the Museum. This is a free public parking lot that accommodates larger vehicles.

CAR: Parking is available in the parking lot behind the Museum (please do not use spaces reserved for others). In addition, there is a free public parking lot located on Mission Drive, 1/2 block away from the museum.

If you are visiting on a Wednesday or Thursday when the Museum is closed to the public, please ring the back doorbell upon your arrival.
