The Wildling is excited to be hosting an exhibition about Santa Barbara County's Santa Ynez River graced with artwork by the amazing Oak Group, opening to the public on Saturday, October 19, 2013. With its headwaterOak Group Logos at the border with Ventura County and its mouth draining into Surf Beach in Lompoc, the river is a vital natural resource for our county and is also a cultural treasure.

Working with The Oak Group, the museum is hosting an art show and sale of original work done of the river and watershed.  The Wildling has also worked with other groups throughout the county to tell the story of the river.  Thanks are due to the Environmental Defense Center, the Santa Ynez Historical Museum, the Lompoc Historical Museum, La Purisima Audubon Society, the Santa Ynez Natural History Society and others for their help in sharing their knowledge and resources.
