Join the California Nature Art Museum for Coastal Cleanup Day at the Santa Ynez River on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Get outside, enjoy nature, and remove harmful debris from this beloved local waterway!
The largest volunteer effort in California, Coastal Cleanup Day is a community-based opportunity to give back to the ocean, beaches, rivers, and creeks that make Santa Barbara County such a wonderful place to live. This year is the 42nd annual Coastal Cleanup Day, and volunteers of all ages are invited to participate! The CalNAM team will be meeting at the bridge on Alisal Road in Solvang (coordinates: 34.5846642, -120.1446122).
What to Bring
Reusable water bottle(s) with plenty of water
Sun protection
Sturdy shoes
(Optional) Gloves, buckets, and any other reusable cleanup supplies to lessen the plastic footprint of this event. If you don't have any, we've got you covered!
This offering is free, and suitable for all ages. Pre-registration is not required, but is encouraged. Everyone who participates is required to fill out a waiver. This can be done on the day of the event, or by downloading a waiver and bringing it with you.
