The exhibition illustratse the development of the area as well as celebrates local wilderness and natural regions conserved as open space for future generations to enjoy.  See images illustrating Morro Bay, Carrizo Plain, Santa Barbara, the Goleta Slough, Ojai, the Santa Ynez Valley and much more! Historic artists include: Channing Peake, Ray Strong, Merv Corning, Richmond Kelsey, Henry Chapman Ford, Lockwood de Forest, and Fernand Lungren.

Contemporary artists include: Bruce Everett, Susan Guy, Richard Schloss, William B. Dewey, Phoebe Brunner, Angela Perko, Chris Chapman, John Barnard, John Iwerks and many more.
