This free concert will feature selections from Opera Santa Barbara’s upcoming production of Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and will include performances by Opera Santa Barbara’s four Chrisman Studio Artists: Julia Metzler, soprano; Kelly Guerra, mezzo; Chandler Johnson, tenor; and John Allen Nelson, baritone.

SLOPOKE: Fine Art of the West at Flag Is Up Farms

Save the date for the annual SLOPOKE, an exhibition and fine art sale featuring art of the American West hosted at Flag is Up Farms in Buellton from September 27 - 29, 2019. The opening reception and awards ceremony is Friday, September 27 from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

The Wildling Museum is honored to partner in this year's event and will be judging the Best Wildlife Art Award, sponsored by Art of the West Magazine.

Pre-Screening: Into the Arctic: Awakening at the Wildling Museum of Art & Nature

On March 2 the Wildling Art Museum partnered with the NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF) to present a special pre-screening of an "official selection" for the 2019 NTFF Festival, Into the Arctic: Awakening by director Cory Trépanier, a landscape painter, filmmaker, and explorer based in Ontario, Canada. Cory’s fine art career spans two decades and has always been intertwined with his passion for the outdoors.

Artist Talk: Nature Through the Eye of a Needle - a Shared Adventure

“Nature Through the Eye of a Needle - a Shared Adventure,” was an artist talk with Dr. Isabel Downs and Dr. Robert Warner.  The lecture will took place at the Wildling Museum on Sunday, February 10, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Dr. Downs is currently the Featured Local Artist, and her fiber art of bird and marine scenes is on display in the museum store.
